After CNET's article on how the freshly started Google Base was being flooded with pornographic materials, it seems that Google is now starting to react and is cleaning up their database. It will be interesting to see how they plan on differentiating trash from actual content in the future. In this case the approach of using popularity-indicators, which Google uses for the websearch, does not work.
