Amazon has, under the name of “amapedia”, a hybrid between Amazon and Wikipedia, once again put one of its many test-projects online. In amapedia, the usual Web2.0-features like blogs, tagging, Ajax or systems to recommend products to other users have been skillfully build around Amazon's product database. At a first glance it looks interesting and shows that even large companies can act quickly within the pulse of time. It can be assumed that Yahoo would have bought a startup for millions of dollars for something like this.
