Zanox goes to Springer

Johannes Beus
It is official – Zanox will not go public as planned but will be bought by a consortium from the Axel Springer Publishing House and the Swiss PubliGroupe. For about 215 million Euro, Springer will get 60 percent and the other 40 percent will belong to the Swiss. Last year Zanox and its 275 employees had a sales volume of 107 million Euro. If the antitrust authority has no objections, the transaction is to take place retroactively to the 1st of January. It is nice to see that the board of directors have kept their sense of humor and put this small comedyclip about the takeover online.
