Google reaches out to Webmasters
The step of adding a warning about a (possible) exclusion from the Googleindex to the Webmaster-tools shows that Google is continuing their efforts to improve communications with webmasters. Last year Google experimented with sending these notifications by E-mail – though this plan was undermined by a flood of fake E-mails in three waves, all of which threatened the exclusion from the index. Since Google first went online with sitemaps and after that with the enhanced and renamed successor Google-Webmaster-tools, they have added new features and possibilities. Today, you are able to display the unfiltered backlinks, see where there are possible problems during the crawling of the site, change the crawlrate, display the most frequented keywords and much more. As much valid criticism of Google there may be, here they are delivering extremely good work – something that is attracting attention, especially in light of the fact that they already have a 90% marketshare in Germany. The other searchengines have a long road in front of them if they try to catch up to Google in this case. This posting is older than 30 days and therefore closed for new comments.
