Lucrative keywords

Making money with your website has always been an issue if you are not running your site out of the goodness of your heart. Identifying potentially interesting topics is often one of the first but also complicated steps. For this I have put together a list with 100 keywords and their AdWord-clickprices which should be able to help.

The listed prices are average Google AdWord CPC-values. Other lists for AdWord-prices usually incorporate the highest clickprice (which looks a lot more impressive for sure) but I believe that the average prices conveys a better insight into the matter. Another thing to consider is that these prices are what the company's placing commercials on the search-network pay, the amount that is eventually paid out to the content-network through AdSense is a completely different matter.

There are a lot of old acquaintances but also a few new ones on the list. For example, I would not have thought that, after the discussion about the provisioning of donations for Unicef, other relief organizations still pay, on average, 7,77 € per click. I have also left out one area entirely from the above list: private investigators and related keywords.

It is quite amazing at how much this industry seems to be able to pay on average (!) for clicks. When I took a look at a comparable list of an earlier date I was able to conclude that this is no flash in the pan but that it has been going on for month if not even years.

(ps: The arduous reader might have noticed that I migrated the blog from sistrix.com to sistrix.de. If you like this list I would ask you not to copy it but put up a link to this post so that Google will notice the move more quickly, thanks)
