SEOktoberfest

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the SEOktoberfest. As the name suggests, this was a SEO-event in the context of the Munich Oktoberfest. Conceived by Mediadonis and Quadzilla (who incidentally looks dazzling in her dirndl), this was an event where about 20 Internet-enthusiasts met for two days to share knowledge and informations.

And this is exactly what it turned out to be: 48 insanely intensive and interesting hours filled with SEO- and Internettalks as well as -discussions. During the day with Bavarian coziness in Munich's city hall, later in the day on the “Wiesn” and after that (the Bavarians close down their beer-tents around 11 pm already, I want to see someone daring enough to do that in cologne during carnival) in Clubs. I can not and do not wish to write much on the specifics, in part because it was very specific and oriented on individual problems but also because there is an agreement to keep the gained knowledge from being expatiated upon in public. What I can say is that this was the best SEO-event that I have participated in to date. Permanently interesting and focused people who want to get things moving, a perfect organization (my thanks go to Phillip, again) and great planning on the part of Quadzilla and Mediadonis. I would like to greet Astrid, Barbara, Bob, Brent, Brian, Frank, Greg, Joost, Markus, Martin, Richard, Uwe as well as everyone else of whom I am not quite sure whether they would like to see their names in public. I am sure that Marcus will surely make some pictures public and I would be delighted if this event were to be repeated next year.

Had a blast at this event and I agree was most probably the best conference I have been to since my first SES 9 years ago. I am starting to think smaller is so much better... everyone gains much more.
