Karstadt-Reisen.de has covered much ground in the last two to three weeks for keyword-combinations that are connected to “Pauschalreisen” (all-expense-vacations). I am still not quite sure how to rate the optimization. On the one hand, I do not think that you should necessarily still work with doorwaypages in 2009, even if they are well done. On the other hand, the outsourcing of content to a separate domain does protect the main domain from any potential Ranking-losses that can surely loom over a linkstructure that did not grow completely organic. Ab-in-den-urlaub.de treads on the same thematic ground – they seem to have noticed that there are other sources of traffic besides SEM :-)

Many different price-comparisons and yellow pages are on the losers side this time. Buycentral was already hit with a four week penalty in August/September of last year and it seems that this is repeating itself. As far as Gelbex and Teloos are concerned, personally I am rather glad that this content-trash is finally gone from the index – the operators did not bother to comply to a change request for their ancient data (some of it still from the last millennium) at all. Radiobremen.de is interesting because it is a prime example of SEO-mistakes that can be made during a relaunch. If I were to get deeper into this, I would noticeably go beyond the scope of this posting. If I can find the time, I will write something about it in a few days.
