PageRank-update 05/2009
It is once again that time of the year, even though this time its earlier than expected: Google is pushing an update of the public PageRank-values onto its servers. The last update was only two month ago and such a short interval between two updates is rather uncommon for the last few years. The new values can already be seen on some datacenters, those of you that are too curious to wait for “your” toolbar-datacenters to be updated, can use our tool to check various IP-addresses: PR-query.While looking at the intermediate data, it seems that the German domains with a high PageRank have, once again, lost some of it: zdf.de, ard.de, sueddeutsche.de, web.de and many others have fallen from PageRank 8 to PR7. In the meantime, a lot of smaller domains were able to increase their PR, lets wait for and see how the finished analysis will look tomorrow.
[Update] Here the customary visualization of the PageRank-changes for this update. It looks to be quite balanced (once again) – in total, there are as many pages that lost PageRank as those that have gained it.
