ICANN sets up site about Sitefinder

Johannes Beus
ICANN has set up an information-page on Sitefinder, a socalled “feature” that Verisign set up. Since 09.17.2003, Verisign is redirecting domains that are not registered to its own site and has therefore shown up in the list of 50 most visited websites.
This caused many email-spamfilters to stop working properly, seeing how non-existing domains will now still have an IP-Address. The ODP-Blog is also mentioning that Robozilla (the ODP-Project's automatic linkchecker) is also being hindered by Verisigns Sitefinder.
By now, there are patches out for the most important DNS-Servers, which will just ignore Verisigns Sitefinder. Patches: Windows djbdns Bind
