Fake Google-mails in circulation once again

Johannes Beus
Just as in May, another wave of mails, which are supposed to be from the Google Search Quality Team, is making the rounds which is warning of the imminent deletion of the website from the index. While last time they were send chiefly to webmaster@example.org, it seems that this time it is the generic and often used info@example.org. In May, the Google Search Quality Team already announced that due to the spamattack they would not notify webmasters by e-mail as long as the source of the e-mails could not be verified.
