Google's decision to base their ranking-algorithm on links has paid off - This was the foundation for the hitherto unmatched success of the searchengine. Even though there have been many adjustments, links are still the foundation for a good ranking within all modern searchengines. The Backlink-Module offers you the possibility of perfecting this important SEO-building-task.
On the following pages we will give you an overview of the different functions that the Backlink-Module has to offer. If you want more information on a specific section or the whole module, please refere to the PDF manuals for each module, which can be found here once you are signed into your SISTRIX Toolbox account. If you do not yet have an account, you can get one by clicking on the 'Register New Account' button at the top right of the page or by going here What does this SISTRIX-Module have to offer? The main problem with backlink-evaluations and -tools is how to get to the fundamental data. Google gives out next to useless data on the incoming links of a domain and Microsoft as well as Yahoo have completely gotten rid of such a feature. To solve this problem, we use our own OpenLinkGraph software to search through large parts of the internet for the link-data we need for our evaluations. We make sure that we get the "important" links, meaning those that are also used by searchengines for their relevancy-calculations, and not the fortieth web-catalog-copy. The Start
Once you log-in at https://tools.sistrix.de/ you can use two different ways of getting to the Links-Module. First you can just type in a keyword or a domain-name into the search-bar at the top right of the menu bar. Alternatively, you can click on the "Links"-button on the blue navigation-bar on the top of the page. There, you will be shown more information on the Link-Module and you will have access to the main options for this module through the "Links-Module"-box on the right. ![]()
When you click on "Links" on the navigation-bar, you are greeted by a box, showing your ten previous and ten most frequent searches for easy access (to empty this list, just use the more button and select "Empty history").
In the middle of the page you will see six boxes, showing the top-5 domains for each of the following categories: ![]() When you click on the behind one of the domains, we will open the link-summary page for that domain.
The next box on the left is the SISTRIX Backlink-Check. Just type in a domain into the box and click on "Determine Backlink data now" to start the evaluation. We will get into this feature in more detail in the next section.
The last box on the left is the SISTRIX Backlink-Comparison, where you are able to type in two domains and we will give you a side by side comparison of those domains backlink data, top-linktargets, frequently used linktexts, top linking domains as well as the distribution of server locations and top level domains.
Backlink-ComparisonThe Backlink-comparison will give you a side by side view of the backlinkstructures for two different domains. That way, you will be able to make out strength and weaknesses with the help of relevant key-values. This tool will also let you explore new sources for links. If you are the operator of a domain, you will be able to compare the linkstructure of your project with that of a competitor, to make out potential link-partners that you have not yet utilized. This way you can add useful linksources to your own backlinkstructure that are already part of your competitor's success and will therefore increase your chances for a better ranking when you cover most of their linksources while still adding your own unique link-sources. You can reach the backlink-comparison from the main Links-Module page, where you can find it towards the bottom left, by clicking on the "Backlink-Comparison" link on in the menu-box on the right or by using the direct link: http://tools.sistrix.com/toolbox_backlinks/compare/from/. You will be asked to type in two domains. For domain A, please type in the domain for which you would like to know the links it possesses that are not yet used by domain B. When you filled in both domains, click on "Compare domain backlinks". Once the calculations are done, you will be shown a side-by-side comparison for the two domains. The first box will give you a summary of the following key-values:
![]() The second box will show you the URLs on each domain with most links to them, where you can click the to open the URL in a new tab or window and that shows all the links with that specific URL as a filter option already set, to see all the linksources that link to the specifc URL.
![]() The next box will show you the most frequently used linktexts that both domains share, complete with the percentages for each and a that shows you all the links with that linktext as filter.
