Amazon reports successes against fake reviews

Fake product reviews are a big problem for Amazon. Customers trust the platform and the reviews, and are disappointed by products and end up turning their backs on Amazon.

Amazon has therefore been active in the fight against fake product reviews for some time and has now been able to report success; Three of the largest fake review brokers have stopped their work.

According to an Amazon blog post, Fivestar Marketing, Matronex and AppSally no longer offer Amazon reviews. Fivestar, writes on its own website: “… the offer for ratings and reviews on the Amazon platform has been completely discontinued.”

While these three providers are no longer selling reviews, Amazon has also filed a lawsuit against a fourth, Hong Kong-based provider (Extreme Rebate) , which aims to further prevent the brokerage of fake reviews.
