Stay Visible is my monthly personal update for the SEO, GEO and SISTRIX community. In this edition I talk about the Deep Dive chat feature, the Google ‘goto’ redirection problem that has been solved, data from the top 100 domains in the USA and new information from my UK fashion trackers. The video is below, along with details if you prefer to read.
Talking about data with AI

When asking Chatbots to analyse data it’s important that you know where that data is coming from. In the world of brand analysis, SISTRIX Deep Dives can help you ring-fence the correct data to get high quality answers. We’ve created a range of deep dives which quickly analyse huge amounts of our data and, recently, we’ve added the ability for you to ask further questions about the analysis.
Which of my competitors are from outside the apparel sector? Are there any competitors that are headquartered outside the USA? Highlight the brands that are new and recently funded.

Goto – Google’s URL masking. Problem solved

The redirects that have affected monitoring search results have caused problems for all too providers. We’ve been working on this since early August and the problem has been solved!
Top 100 Domains USA

A new Top 100 domains update for USA has been posted. View the major changes since the last update, including two domains that you might not have bet on. Facebook is at #2 again having risen massively in organic search results over the last year. There’s also a significant loser.
Organic visibility is closely related to citation visibility in chatbots thanks to the grounding process so changes in organics may have an impact on how that domain appears in AI.

UK Fashion Leaders – Citation and Brand share-of-voice

As part of my work on Visibility Leaders (see you at BrightonSEO for the latest study?) I do a lot of tracking. I export the resulting data and work with different experts to analyse the data and visualise the changes over time. I’ve re-visited the Women’s Fashion sector and present two new visualisations which represent share of voice.
The share of citations is interesting because 1) There are informational websites in there that are clearly going to guide a users choice. 2) The brands themselves are cited which shows that you must continue to answer any questions that might appear on a customer journey. 3) The top website closely match those seen in the organic results.

Inspired by Screaming Frog.

Tom Jeffries of Screaming Frog has inspired me. In a recent how-to he shows how he has combined SISTRIX and Screaming Frog MCP features to produce mentions and citation reports. It has be thinking about Screaming Frog as a way to do controlled analysis of the top URLs, the blueprints for success, that come out of the Visibility Leaders studies. If you’re using Screaming Frog and SISTRIX together, let me know in the video comments.
