In February 2016, when we began to measure the search results in Amazon, we were able to find 46,921 different merchants (= sellers in Amazon language). In 2018 we measured over 150,000 merchants which is three times as many, in just two years. Clearly it’s important to be monitoring competitors in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
To view competitors for any merchant, use the ‘Seller’ analysis tool.
Once you’ve entered the merchant page, select “Competitors” from the left-hand menu and you’ll see a table of competitors weighted by visibility, and a more detailed list below that.
Use this list to analyse product ranges, review values and other indicators that might help you to improve the rankings against your competitors.
