Onpage – Errors, Warnings and Notices

The OnPage analysis highlights weaknesses a website may have. Issues could range from technical errors to content problems. Every error identified is accompanied with a detailed explanation in the Toolbox, which will also includes additional, external sources, in case you want to learn more about each issue. 

General Options

General Options of the Onpage section in the SISTRIX Optimizer

At the top right corner of the page you’ll find general settings for the whole page, in particular:

  • Date: Choose the date of the latest or any of the past crawls.
  • Restart crawler: Start our onpage crawler to get new data. You can start the crawler as often as you like.
  • Export: Download the data contained in this section. Read more about exports and credits here.
  • Shortlink: Share the page with other Toolbox users. You’ll get a personalised shortlink, active for a few days, that you can share without any limitations.

In the first box on the left we show you the most important information relating to your Onpage project: When was it last crawled? When does the next crawl process start? How many different HTML pages were seen and how many URLs we’ve crawled in total? (which includes the CSS, images, javascript data etc.)

This information allows you to easily keep track of the project status.

Errors, Warnings and Notices

A summary of the total number of errors, warnings, or notices found by our SISTRIX crawler for this project, grouped thematically. This information allows you to easily keep track of the project status.

By hovering the mouse over an issue, the option “Details” will appear: click it to find out more information about that issue.

Errors: Problems such as unknown pages, missing images or paths and issues with robots.txt belong to this category of problems that the SISTRIX Crawler has found. These are the important elements that help Google find your content.

Warnings: SISTRIX will warn you when it finds issues such as titles that are too long, missing or multiple H1 tags and also if it finds missing meta-descriptions. These are the important elements that help Google understand your content.

Notices: In this category you’ll find advice about such things as click distance, duplicate images and Javascript data.

Already resolved: Here you’ll find all those issues which haven’t been found during the last crawl.

On this page you’ll find a list of the URLs affected by the error, warning or notice. You’ll also find useful information that will help you resolve the issue.

At the top of the page you are able to select a different crawl date.

The Options menu allows you to download a CSV file of all the URLs with this issue.
